Jolynn Hoang
Optometrist
Dr. Jolynn Hoang is a highly educated optometrist who earned her Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry after completing her Bachelor's degree at the University of Notre Dame. She has experience in private practice eye care and recently joined Active Eyecare of Surprise in Phoenix, specializing in primary care, contact lenses, pediatrics, and ocular disease management for patients as young as one year old. Dr. Hoang is bilingual in English and Spanish, and outside of work, she enjoys family time, baking, traveling, and following Notre Dame football.
Dr. Jolynn Hoang, originally from Victoria, Texas, completed her Bachelor of Arts in Music History, Literature, and Theory at the University of Notre Dame. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Optometry, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Houston College of Optometry. Her clinical training included rotations at Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry and Cedar Springs Eye Clinic in Dallas, where she focused on delivering high-quality, community-centered eye care. She has practiced in Private Practice Eye Care in Texas for a few years but moved to Phoenix in 2023 and is excited to be part of the Active Eyecare of Surprise team.
Outside the office, Dr. Hoang enjoys spending time with her husband and children, baking, traveling, and trying new foods. She also has an interest in skincare and coffee, and she spends her fall Saturdays cheering on the Fighting Irish football team. Dr. Hoang is available for exams in both English and Spanish. She sees patients as young as 1 year old and sees patients in the modalities of: Primary Care, Contact lenses/ some specialty Contact Lenses, Pediatrics, and Ocular Disease Management.
